
Econiq was founded in 2005 by its Chairman and CEO, Jim Callan with the objective of providing leading edge software solutions which will deliver significant business value to its customers.
Jim Callan has spent over 20 years in the IT business delivering successful solutions to Banking clients. He has also successfully built an international software company, Eontec. He has extensive international banking experience and is a proven entrepreneur and innovator in the financial services software area. He was the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Eontec which was a global leader in the provision of multi-channel software solutions to Retail Banks.
Eontec had offices in Ireland, UK, US, Canada, Singapore, Japan and Australia and a list of Blue Chip customers including CIBC, Commonwealth Bank of Australia and DBS among others. Eontec was acknowledged as an innovator that delivered on its promise in its chosen market. Eontec was sold to Siebel Systems in 2004.
Colin Piper who was the one of the original founders of Eontec has recently joined Econiq to head up the operation in the United States. Mr Piper was responsible for Eontec's largest sale to CIBC and the rollout of the Eontec product to their 1200 branches across Canada. He has a proven track record of successfully delivering large software implementations.
